Springwoods Behavioral Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Tate, MD as the Generations Geriatric Medical Director. A longtime Northwest Arkansas psychiatrist, Dr. Tate has 28 years experience managing his private practice and nine years experience with inpatient geriatric psychiatry as the Medical Director of the Generations and New Directions geriatric psychiatry inpatient units at Washington Regional Medical Center.
A graduate of Hendrix College, Dr. Tate received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed his residency in psychiatry at Emory affiliated hospitals. Dr. Tate is also a graduate of the Houston-Galveston Psychoanalytic Institute. He is certified in general psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and also in psychoanalysis from the American Psychoanalytic Association.
"My goal for our geriatric patients is to relieve their suffering and help them to regain as much independence as possible while improving their quality of life." Dr. Tate commented.

Springwoods Behavioral Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Dean Priest, MD as their new Medical Director. Dr. Priest received his B.A. from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas and his Medical Degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Both his residency in Adult Psychiatry and his Fellowship in Child Psychiatry were completed at UAMS. He is board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and General Psychiatry. Dr. Priest has practiced at Springwoods since September 2010.
