Patients wear comfortable clothes and are not required to wear hospital gowns. For the safety of our patients, all items will be reviewed by staff and any inappropriate material including references to drugs, sex, violence or other questionable content will not be allowed. Springwoods Behavioral Health is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please bring items in a plastic bag for storage space purposes.
Clothing: Bandanas, caps/hats (Yamakas are permitted), belts, boots, gang-related clothing, headbands, hooded tops or jackets, neck-ties, pantyhose, scarves, see-through clothing, shoelaces, short skirts/shorts, tank tops, steel-toe boots and/or shoes with cleats, tight clothing, torn clothing, flip flops
Electronics: Anything with a cord or battery, clocks, earphones (includes any electronic device), electric shavers, pagers and cell phones.
Food/Beverages: All outside food, beverages, gum and candy
Medications: Patients are not allowed to have access to medications. All home medications will be kept in the pharmacy.
Personal Items: Makeup, purses, wristbands, jewelry, blankets, pillows, personal/musical recreation equipment and stuffed animals.
Misc. Items: Firearms, knives, anything with glass or mirrors, paperclips, staples, pins, plastic bags, string and hangers.
Tobacco/Non-Tobacco Products: Cigarette lighters or cigarettes, matches, electronic cigarettes, herbal chewing tobacco
This list is not all-inclusive. If any item is questionable or has cause for concern, the staff reserves the right to confiscate said item.
