Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

This program is available for those in need of extra support and is frequently, but not always, a step-down level of care for patients who have been in acute inpatient care or the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). IOP is appropriate for patients who are at a lower risk but still require frequent therapy which is therapist driven and offers a virtual option.

This program is appropriate for patients who:

  • Need more intensive treatment than provided in traditional outpatient setting
  • Require coordinated, intensive, comprehensive and multidisciplinary treatment
  • Have the ability to maintain themselves in the community
  • Present no immediate threat to themselves or others

IOP Includes:

  • Individualized treatment plan
  • Daily group therapy (Monday-Thursday, 9am-12pm)
  • Virtual Treatment Option
  • Individual and family therapy as indicated
  • Discharge planning
  • Continued care planning

Assessment and Referrals

Springwoods Behavioral Health accepts referrals from the professional community (doctors, hospitals, therapists, social workers, nurses, schools, courts and community agencies) as well as from families. Qualified assessment and referral staff perform assessments 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, at no charge. Each assessment is evaluated by a physician who recommends the appropriate level of care for treatment. Recommendations are then discussed with the patient and family to assist in making an informed decision about treatment.

Springwoods Behavioral Health is a provider for most insurance/managed care plans, as well as Medicare.

If you would like to speak to a specialist about yourself or a loved one, we are available 24/7. To schedule a level of care assessment, call 479-973-6000.
